H. Moser & Cie. Unveils Its First Full-Ceramic Streamliner Tourbillon Model
In a relatively short span of six years, H. Moser & Cie. has accelerated the growth of its Streamliner line, a luxury sport watch family defined by integrated bracelets and streamlined, aerodynamic forms. The collection began in 2020 with a refined flyback chronograph and has since expanded to include models with central seconds, perpetual calendars, small seconds, and even tourbillons—along with minute repeater tourbillons. Until now, the lineup has relied on stainless steel and gold cases. The brand now breaks new ground with its first-ever all-ceramic edition: the Streamliner Tourbillon Concept Ceramic. This variant pairs a dark ceramic case and integrated bracelet with a striking red enamel dial that glows with life.
Taking cues from the elegant Streamliner Moderne movement of the 1920s and 1930s, the cushion-shaped silhouette of the Streamliner favors fluid, aerodynamic lines and an integrated, articulated bracelet. The wave-like links create a seamless, continuous look that not only pleases the eye but also feels exceptionally comfortable on the wrist.
Moser selected a dark high-tech ceramic for the case, offering lightweight comfort, hypoallergenic properties, and remarkable stability. The 40mm case maintains the familiar Streamliner proportions, with a slim 11mm profile (12.8mm including the domed sapphire crystal). Expect a screw-down crown and a robust 120-meter water resistance, consistent with the model’s luxury sports watch aspirations.
Physically, the watch adheres to the brand’s established design language: a circular brushed finish on the case, vertical brushing on the bracelet with subtle bevels, and a restrained overall aesthetic that keeps attention on the dial and movement.
Dial and aesthetics play a central role in this ceramic edition. The red textured fumé Grand Feu enamel dial harkens back to earlier Moser concepts, but with a contemporary twist: the white-gold base is hammered to create texture, then several enamel layers are applied. The result is a dial that reads like incandescent molten lava in rich red hues. In line with Moser’s Concept watch philosophy, the dial remains deliberately minimalist—no logos, no indices, no extraneous inscriptions—apart from the hour and minute hands equipped with Globolight inserts. The only other distraction-free element is the large aperture at 6 o’clock, revealing the flying tourbillon.
Powering the piece is the in-house HMC 805 caliber, paired with a double hairspring assembly developed by Precision Engineering AG, a sister company to Moser. The double hairspring arrangement enhances accuracy and isochronism while mitigating friction, a benefit when using a single, conventional hairspring. The movement is finished with an openworked, 18k red-gold rotor that winds the mainspring via a bidirectional pawl-winding system and yields a stout 72-hour power reserve. Bridges and the mainplate wear a contemporary anthracite finish and feature Moser’s twin-stripe motif, all of which can be admired through the sapphire caseback.
